New York City, known as the "Big Apple" or "City That Never Sleeps" is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. The city is home of landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Empire State Building, Times Square and many other places shown in TV shows or movies. Getting There: Every flight is bound for New York. JFK airport is usually for international arrivals and LaGuardia airport is for domestics. And also fly into Newark Liberty International Airport, which is located in New Jersey and has direct train connections to New York City. Things to See and Do: There is no shortage of things to see and do in New York City. Some of the must-visit attractions include the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I cannot list them all. When to Visit: Summer is a popular time to visit with warm weather and plenty of outdoor events. Fall is also a beautiful time to visit, with the changing leaves in Central Park and cooler temperatures. Winter can be chilly, but it's also a magical time to see the city's holiday lights and ice-skate in Central Park. Spring is a wonderful time to visit, with mild weather and blooming flowers in Central Park. I visited in the middle of summer and it was too hot. If I were you I would visit in the spring or fall. Tips: - Bring comfortable shoes, you will walk a lot. - Before you go, make a list of places to visit.  - Be aware of your surroundings and take the usual safety precautions in crowded areas.
